Many working and agility dogs will find themselves using the same group of muscles repeatedly, causing tightness on that area and in areas of compensation. The act of massage will release any adhesions to the muscles thereby relieving tension. Massage improves oxygen supply to the muscles, allowing them to recover faster and remove and inflammation. By keeping the muscles supple and well oxygenated it helps them to work at their best improving and maintaining overall performance. And let’s face it everyone loves a massage after working out.
